What is English?
I made the version of the submitted task by recording my notes, but I want to rewrite this event with my own written notes.
My summary from Dr. Rahayu's speaking notes :
Literacy will be beneficial and powerful. The first is that the giving of literacy will be advanced in a severe phase. To develop and inspire others by relating it to education. the students will continue their studies. She also added that the activity such as promoting the program such as our own major, makes them choose to enroll in the course at Unnes. Then the scholarship for students becomes a magnet for students from abroad. Pascasarjana will definitely support this activity(today's occasion). the worth of this event is in the speaker itself, The speaker also already being a guest lecturer at Soedirman University, and he is also coming across many countries abroad. He ever did seminars in many universities in domestic areas. Stylistic is the master part of the speaker, but Zoom's username is stated by Dr.Lakhsmi. He achieved a lot of invention and he had 50-60 minutes to explain his PowerPoint.
My Summary from Dr. Abdul Mohammed Ali Jinnah's speaking notes:
The slide's overall background is like the contribution of English Studies in English Education, as an associate professor of English at Jamal Mohammed College(autonomation Chi Rappali, Tamil/Nabu- India). The First Slide of his presentation is talking about " how it has an impact on English Education? he has the perimeter of questions to check the understanding of the audience. he insisted that many people must hear the explanation afterward. in the next slide, there is "Why English?" it is a language that is mostly talked about in the majority part of the world as lingua franca which is interesting. Italian is not a lingua franca. in the next slide, there is how original English is? th e unique and aseptically English as the language famously used worldwide. this particular language is indigenous. the identity of the language, and the resemblance of India's state which the British conquered but the literature is widely spread. is the literature relevant, "yes it is". Indigenous English-speaking from England? the next slide said, In India English is in the standard curriculum. far away from the connection, literally the text from English to the address itself. again back to "Why Eng l; ish?" pluralism is in n open mode where it can create a ruckus, but this problem. like the story of 4 m, a major language in south India, but it is different in north India such as HindiToto be straightforward the answer as the language becomes a currency. the name of it is as in science technology, international; communication, media internet which is almost in everything. it helps bridge the differences in multicultural commitment. pluralism in India as monolingualism. therefore English become the language community. Hindi the python on Poda what about Indonesia?
. the slide with the title "How did we learn English?" is about the historical background and the introduction of the language. the infamous minutes through the invasion education had a lot of improvisation in human civilization. the intersection engEnglishudieandan lantern language. only the nice combination of English becomes an extraordinary language.
in the slide with the title. "how the e-text becomes cultural?". let's not forget that language acquisition becomes a tool for cultural/ political urges Whathat cultural space do we inhabit? learning language or acquisition. start in the elementary phase. we as English teachers, how to assimilate or control it because we as the creator, we had a lot of chances to expand our capacity in India, a teacher like a speaker, is like a lord. India's place the author of the PowerPoint also said that even though he is not a native he felt like giving a mimic. Janus means two faces. we like the understanding of the terminality. we areas an English teacher as an escape. we belong to the teaching community.
the slide with the titleThehe Tone deaf modern home, how do we learn about?" for example, we have Robinson Cruise in the school curriculum,. Shakespeare's Wordsworth and the mandatory of the canon. an environment that's why to have the invention of Robinson Crusoe, is fantastic. we understand the character Fantasyland as d an adventurer. the ideological brain was as simplistic as the hero. what we as the discriminator as by nature, this communication is probably, by someone else as the power source. the search as the ideology. th e necessity like the possible it itself. if you do all of that, it becomes a tiring process these student is the living proof abused by colonialism. the belief in English is already taking over the world. the burden of English teachers, to them, how to be done in acquiring all of it.
the cultural baggage we carry? the next slide about. let's review ouEnglishstextbooksksisos it is a random mixed-in match. if random selection presentation like selecting lecturer. we produce the appropriate pedagogy. how are they selected is it random / do we produce appropriate materials. harry potter is very classic. is English studies still relevant today as? a creation or material, historically. it has helped in language acquisition, but we live in troubled times where we woke enough. how do we bring about the change? the textbook is being created by us? let 'canonize the classrooms creating a new love print.
